Classic French Mimosa Cocktail

A bright brunch mimosa made with chilled dry sparkling wine, fresh orange juice, and an orange twist.

  • Six champagne flutes
  • Citrus juicer
  • Fine strainer
  • Paring knife

Ingredients

Mimosas

  • 1 bottle chilled dry sparkling wine 750 ml bottle
  • 3 cups fresh orange juice strained and chilled
  • 1 large orange for twists

Instructions

Prepare:

  • Chill the sparkling wine, orange juice, and champagne flutes. Strain the juice if it contains a lot of pulp.

Pour and Serve:

  • Pour sparkling wine into each flute until half full. Slowly top with orange juice, leaving room for the bubbles.
  • Garnish each glass with a thin orange twist and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Chill all ingredients before mixing.
  • Pour sparkling wine first to reduce foaming.
  • Assemble immediately before serving.
