Classic Espresso Martini Cocktail

Ingredients

Cocktail

  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz fresh espresso cooled slightly
  • 3/4 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 cup ice
  • 3 medium coffee beans for garnish

Instructions

Shake and Serve:

  • Chill a coupe glass while the espresso cools for a few minutes.
  • Add vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, simple syrup, and ice to a shaker.
  • Shake very hard for 15 to 20 seconds to build foam.
  • Fine-strain into the chilled glass and garnish with three coffee beans.

Notes

  • Fresh espresso creates the best crema.
  • Shake harder and longer than a typical cocktail.
  • This recipe makes one alcoholic drink; serve responsibly.
