Filipino Calamansi Juice (Fresh Citrus Drink)

Ingredients

Calamansi Juice

  • 1/2 cup fresh calamansi juice strained
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar for simple syrup
  • 1/2 cup water for simple syrup
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 2 cups ice

Garnish

  • 4 whole calamansi halves

Instructions

Make the Syrup:

  • Combine the sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Warm over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Cool completely.

Mix and Chill:

  • Combine the strained calamansi juice, cooled syrup, and cold water in a pitcher. Taste and add more syrup or water as needed.
  • Pour over ice, garnish with calamansi halves, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Fresh calamansi juice is tart; adjust the sweetness to taste.
  • For a pitcher, refrigerate the mixed drink for up to 24 hours and add ice just before serving.
