Brochettes are a popular grilled street food in Rwanda, where seasoned meat is threaded onto skewers and cooked over charcoal until tender with lightly charred edges.
This home-friendly version pairs beef with onion and peppers, then serves the skewers with grilled plantain and a bright tomato-chili sauce.
Cut the beef into evenly sized pieces and soak wooden skewers in water so the meat cooks before the sticks scorch.
Serving Suggestions
Serve hot with grilled plantain, tomato-chili sauce, and a crisp cabbage or avocado salad.

Recipe Notes
Marinate the beef for at least 30 minutes and up to overnight. Grill in batches so the skewers brown instead of steaming.
