Ramune is Japan’s recognizable marble-stopper soda, known for its cool citrus flavour and distinctive blue glass bottle.
Make a light lemon-lime syrup, chill it thoroughly, and combine it with sparkling water just before serving so the drink stays lively.
Chill the syrup and sparkling water first; adding warm syrup to the glass makes the ice melt and flattens the soda.
Serving Suggestions
Serve very cold over ice with lemon or lime wedges on warm afternoons.

Recipe Notes
The syrup keeps refrigerated for up to one week. Mix individual glasses just before serving.
