Greek frappé is a frothy iced coffee made by shaking or blending instant coffee, cold water, sugar, and ice into a tall refreshing drink.

Whipping the coffee with a little water first creates the signature foam, while milk or extra water adjusts the drink to taste.

Dissolve and foam the coffee before adding the ice. This gives the drink a thicker, more stable top layer.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with a straw on a warm afternoon. Add milk for a creamy version or leave it black for a stronger, more bitter drink.

Recipe Notes

Make frappé to order so the foam stays lively. Decaf instant coffee works well for a lower-caffeine version.
